My contract with t mobile is up for re-new in april.
I currently have a 900.
Does anyone know of any phones that could be better than the 900 by then? I was kind of hoping we might see the p1000 but i dont think thats goin to happen is it!
Or do i just stick to my 900 and change my contract?
Doesnt seem worth having it upgraded to 910
thanks

Buddy,if you are open minded, ask your local Nokia dealer for a 7710.Play for a while with it.Surf the net on EDGE,take a few pics, write a email etc.If you already have a P900 then you don't really mind carrying a "heavy" cell around.Trust me it beasts the P900 in every aspect. If the Nokia logo bothers you have it replaced with a P1000 logo !

the 7710 does look quite slick i must admit, but hey the one thing i love doing with my p900 which i wouldnt trade for any other feature is using the broadband connection on my pc when i come anywhere in range (using proximity connector). Now can the 7710 do that? if it can then i'd say its an upgrade. but anyway nothing in there seems to be gobsmackingly extra.
Any phones around allowing w-lan?

Use bluetooth mate ! 700 kb/s and is standardized ! I have a sony trv80 handycam (bluetooth) , laptop and cellphone all bluetooth linked.I am using a class 1 for my pc as the "main" hub. I have replaced the internal aerial with a +6db gain one.I can access the internet on my handycam , cell , laptop from about 1km around my house ! I can exchange/synchronyse files , pictures folders etc.. from 1 device to any other. It sounds like a dream ? Well for me at least is reality.I have adsl and now so do 5 of my neighbours true bluetooth.(we also split the connection costs ;-) )

I agree that upgrading from P900 to a P910 is no point. If you are willig to wait you can wait forever! There is allways something new around the corner. And why upgrade your contract to a competative phone to the one you allready have? Sniff around the market, see what is avalable and pick a phone that suits yous need in different areas than your P900 does today. A smaller phone that goes in your jeans pocket (K700), aphone with a good camera(S700), a phone that really makes your mates go WOW! for the looks (that new Motorola I can't remember the name of) perhaps? Give it some thought mate. Do you want a substitute to what you've got or something totally different?

As whizkidd said, the best thing to do is wait, you never know what might pop up on the last minute

I have a strong feeling that Se will throw in some suprises this year. The P900 is a good enough phone. And the next in line to the P910 would surely be great leap forward.
