Hi,
I just got a sony ericsson k700 and got service from cingular. can anyone suggest what would be the first steps to set up the gprs/wap ?
there's no info on cingular web site, i tried a number of suggestions from this forum, but didnt work for me.

I have one too, i can get text messages from cingular, but it won't let me connect to the internet. the account profiles want me to enter a phone number and password. also, i tried downloading the wap from se's official site, but no text message comes to my phone. any suggestions? thanks in advance!

I need help with this too, i called the sony help line in the us and they said they would send the settings to my phone but their web doesn't work. does anyone know how to setup their phone? i have a k500i.

I find it somewhat weird that you all were new users a few days after eachother, posted the same exact idea right away...
if you are the same person... just using different names... u dont have to do that.
if noone replied, reply back to ur post, and ask if anyone can help... i shouldnt make up a new name for this...

and if ur not the same person... sorry... it juss seemed a little weirddd

I assume you all tried the support website where you can send the settings to your phone from the internet...

RichLok may be able to help you guys, but I haven't seen him around in a while. I will power up my old T616 and post the settings here for you guys to check out.

I tried the settings and they never send, also called SE and they tried sending settings again but never recieved they are wack. But i did figure it out on my own you just need to know the apn:wap.cingular user: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.com then pass: CINGULAR1
