Hi All

I am looking for a simple software(free) to cut mp3 songs so that i can use them for ringtones. Any recommendations?

Yes SoundForge by SonicFoundry is the best I've seen & is MUCH more than a cutting tool!!
Only its not free, at least its not meant to be!

i'm using the free trial of power mp3 cutter.

works great so long it doesn't exceed 1 minute.

I also recommend mp3trim, for a freeware mp3 editor, mp3trim is decent enough for basic editing - volume change (with normalize), cut, fades, tag editor, etc.

I use the standard Sound Recorder in Windows, (after converting the MP3 file into WAV, I cut whatever I need from the song, and then reconvert it back to MP3

Its a long process, but its me

@devilwhateva...WAV files are much bigger then mp3's, they will eat up a lot more space on your phone.
