Hi, I have a S700i (vodaphone branded) phone and am trying to get it to connect and sync with my PC (XPpro sp2)

I have both Link Cable and Bluetooth dongel. and neither *bleeping*well works! the PC can send pics and MP3's to the Phone via blue tooth no problem, and the phone can add my PC to it's devices, also no problem.

but I can't send pics TO the PC cause it always says connection failed,

can't sync using SE's "sync station" cause it comes up with a error, can't sync using the cable cause there dosn't seem to be any way at all for PC or phone to even realise it's attached (although it has the cable in it's "devices" menu and says driver working fine)

im supposed to be using some XTNDconnect bluetooth manager to connect but as that either dosn't run or hangs my computer or both I don't bother with it.

any ideas? I can't find a bluetooth manager on the net and SE's webpage dosn't have support.

thanks

Welcome to Esato

The phone should be able to send no problem with no need for other s/w.
Try allowing the phone to finish its search for devices before u choose one to send to. Sometimes sending while its still searching can cause it to fail

Oh I know that it has to wait to finish searcing I always do, but when my bluetooth thingy is in the computer it displays a bluetooth icon on the program tray, (on the far right of start bar)

this has an option "receive file" so I figure it might be something to do with that... however this makes no difference.
