hey
could someone please explain what pin2 is plz, i read on here it only allows u you dial 9 numbers without entering the pin. is that correct?
also, how do i find out
what my pin2 code is or is there a default code?

So far i know it is sim lock, initially of 0000 which you can change thru security.

PIN2 is a security featre, which allowed certain features of the operator to be locked, eg. in ealier times, one couldn't divert calls without entering the PIN2. With the oncome of digital GSM this feature lost its imminence slowly.

PIN2 is, as the OP correctly says, a feature which allows you to use "fixed dialling" (aka Closed User Group diallinig) through the handset rather than the networks. This is useful for countries like the UK, where most networks do not support this service.
