Hello,

Does anyone know what are exactly mp4 video files ?

are they divx xvid like ? how can we convert xvid divx movies in mp4 to be seen by a p900 or s700i model ?

You got it the other way round, 3gp is a type of mp4 format. mp4 is a base format. xvid is an mp4 encoding with divx compression

.3gp and .mp4 are containers containing either a videotrack, or an audiotrack or both.

.3gp and .mp4 can contain videotracks encoded with an mpeg4 codec or the .h263 codec and it can contain audiotracks encoded with AAC codec or AMR codec.

Divx and Xvid are mpeg4 codecs. There are other mpeg4 codecs like Nero and Mpegable.

K700 and S700 support playback of both .3gp and .mp4 containers - containing mpeg4 codecs like xvid, nero, mpegable and others and the .h263 codec.
k700 and S700 also support playback of .3gp and .mp4 containers containing either AAC or AMR audio.
And they support playback of .3gp or .mp4 containers containing every combination of above codecs - for instance xvid mpeg4 videocodec and AAC audiocodec.
