Hey,
Last monday my p800 somehow crashed, and didn't react on anything I tried (pressing buttons mostly

) So i removed the battery for a sec, and placed it where it came from to put the phone back on. Eversince the phone only vibrates when put on, the display stays black, en there's also no sound played.
I already tried leaving the battery off the phone for 48 hours, but that didn't work (otherwise I wouldn't post anything here..) and now i'm considering a master reset or a firmware update to get it working again. Does anyone know anything about this?..
Also, is there an option to reset the phone with keeping photos and sms? (Didn't store those on the memory card :s )
Anyway, thanks a lot

Ha! I know soft reset is done by a 10 second press of the power button.

and that also doesn't work :'(
I also tried every button combination i could think of, and powering the phone on the charger without the battery in it.. Another problem is taking it to a service center as the phone is thirdhanded(?!) and the last owner lost the warranty papers..
anyhow thanks for the replies

At this point, I don't think you have a choice. You have to take it to your

service center.
As you said in your previous posts, you have done everything you can think of (short of flashing the firmware yourself). Doing anything more would probably compound your problems even more.
Pay the service fee and have them take a look at your phone.

Wait, hold on a second.... how'd you manage to do that? I kinda felt for you losing your phone as I read down the posts only to be pleasantly surprised that it's now working and the keypad was the culprit!
By keypad, did you mean the flip?
I'm just real curious....

@RedStar,
Thats actually a common problem, as weird and suprising as it may be. Sometimes a Pxxx will not boot up without a keypad, it will simply vibrate, and nothing more. If you hold down the power button it will carry on vibrating every second or so.
I think it's due to either a short circuit, or, the phone not being properly grounded.
I've repaired many phones and some of them will not boot up when they are in bits, however when put back together they seem to work fine.
If it's the other way around, and it wont work when it is together, try taking it apart and putting it back together again, this seems to work for me.
Strange.. but true
