> Orange UK sim in an O2 P910i
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I'm considering the purchase of a P910i on O2 here in the UK....
Relatively cheap at £149 with a basic contract and little in the way of branding - also doesn't feature the Orange logo printed on the body of the phone...
Anyway, my questions are:
1. Presumably the handset will be unlocked?
2. Will my Orange UK sim work straight away if I put it into the phone...
3. Presumably I'll just have to edit things like message centre number and GPRS settings to send texts and check/send emails....
Many thanks,
Simon.

My 02 P910i works just fine on my Orange SIM and yes O2 phones aren't locked
Go here for settings for GPRS/MMS settings.

I got mine from the O2 shop near me yesterday for £100 on O2 250 (£35 a month). Great phone, works on any network and the only branding is on the startup and shutdown.

I walked in a said "what deal can you do me ona P910?". The guy behind the counter said without hesitation "£100 on O2 250". I said "where do I sign?!".
End of story. They werent quiet either, so they didnt do it to boost their sales figures.

Yes I have, I'm using O2 so it doesn't bother me that much as you only see it during startup/shutdowm. My Orange SIM is from my company phone. When i purchased the phone I checked to see if it was unlocked as my previous O2 phone was (Moto V600).

I cjecked with the O2 shop to see if the P910 was unlocked and they didnt know. I had to check myself by going into the secret software menu. The O2 staff were amazed and offered me a job.
Inthe shop all the staff had their personal phones hanging around their necks and they were all SE phones. I even promoted Esato to them.
