Hi - just wondering if there was a proximity connect app using the Windows stack? The is already an app out which uses WidComm stack but WidComm have been bought out and I cannot get the software anymore PLUS i'd prefer to use the Windows one for now anyway.

Thanks.

I was gonna say write a little Applescript, but then remembered that you are cursed with a PC. Remember: Macs are for work, whilst windows... is for solitaire!!
Now for the useful content of my post: No, I am not aware of anyway of getting the windows stack to work on it's own, but I think there might be a way of just using the Widcomm software. I had read about it somewhere, IIRC. If you can't get hold of the Widcomm software due to them having been bought out, I reccomend you try a P2P network, as these almost always have stuff on the that you can't find anywhere else.
Good luck!!

Why do you neccesarily want to use the windows stack? Given microshite's record, the widcomm one's probably better/more secure.

Very true, but i don't think there are any drivers available for WidComm for my 100m Belkin Bluetooth adapter unfortunately - otherwise that's what I'd do.

Or at least i cant get it to work. Windows keeps taking over and widcomm can never find my 'Bluetooth Device'.

I will be looking into it tho.

Same thing happens to me with my bluespoon usb dongle. It says it can't find a bluetooth device. Anyone know why?
