I still like the K700i, of course more and more phones will be released all the time, we all know that every phone will be "common" in time. That is why i always judge a phone only when it is released, it just does not work well any other way of rating it. Its a great phone, the best overall in the SE range at the moment, and i have tried nearly all of them. I know plenty of people who are looking for phones right now and i have recommended the K700i to them and will continue to do so. I have also noticed how popular the phone is with women, when studying hard in my uni library i often see the K700 come out of a handbag to be switched on silent. I suppose this does suggest the phone is "common" but is there anything wrong with this? I dont htink so in this case, the K700i is classy and is my favourite SE phone.

the K700 is still a cheap upgrade to a pretty decent phone for someone who still has a T610 or older. Jumping from a T68 to a K700 would make you want to fall in love with K700. It is nearly impossible to stay on the cutting edge of phones these days because they come out so fast. Even if interest on Esato has died down a bit a concerning the K700, it is still a big hit in phone shops.

@k700nut

Perhaps you should consider a change of name.

I think the K700 is actually a jolly good mobile, it isn't as good as the S700 in my opinion, but it is still a superb handset. The K700 offers almost everything the S700 does with the notable exceptions of megapixel camera, better screen and memorystick support. The K700 is also cheaper than the S700, which means that it will be a far more popular choice for those who are on a budget.

One also needs to compare the K700 to similar mobiles from other manufacturers, which would allow one to see that the K700 is actually at the top of its class.

I don't think it is at all useful to compare a standard mobile with a smartphone, of course the smartphone has more functionality, but it isn't everyone who needs that level of functionality. I think many of us have a tendency to forget that Esato is very much a place for mobile phone geeks, not somewhere where the average customer spends much time. The average customer in the street probably isn't looking for much more than basic functionality from a mobile, perhaps with one or two special features thrown in, but certainly not to the level of a smartphone.

How ironic! May be a name change as scots suggested. I remember how you were very proud of your phone. Why the sudden change. You are the last person i expected it from. This message was posted from a K500

@ants...j'm not flaming re;k7..i'm simply stating my unbiased and frank statement!are you saying the k7 is well constructed?is it up to date?...if your answer is yes,you're living in a realm of fiction.@scotsboy..fair enough,point taken;re symbian os preferences...not evryone requires its functionaljty.the k7 is just a problematic phone imo,and it's becoming an eyesore like the 3310!
