Anyone here used the NetFront mobile browser for UIQ? Looks like it could give Opera a run for their money. I have installed it on my P800, and the interface has already got me hooked. I'm just waiting for the activation of my Internet GPRS account so I can take it through its paces.

You thought right, mate. Opera comes free on Sendo X, 9500, 9300 and a number of Series 60 phones, and is shipped with SE's UIQ P-series.

l downloaded Netfront v3.1 from my-symbian.com and its free. l use both Netfront and Opera on my P900, and l have to say, Netfront is an excellent browser. As good as Opera in my opinion.

Also with Opera (6.31) on my P900, I can't load certain webpages, Esato being one and o2 uk another. For these l used to rely on the inbuilt browser. Now, with Netfront, I have no such problem, l rate this browser highly. Anyone else found this? I'm using a P900 with P910a fw.

While I had the P800, initially there were pages Opera could not handle. NetFront was my saviour. So initially my opinion was that NetFront was the better of the two.
But for some reason I do not know, I was later able to load those pages on Opera.
Having thrown everything at both browsers over aperiod of over 6 months, however, I firmly believe that Opera has a significant edge.
When I say everything, include things like handling secure login sites, administering online control panels, publishing and managing webpages, running FTP et al. I literally tortured both browsers and pushed them to the very limits

Butthen, I may have missed something still.

I'm still fairly new to Netfront, but have to say its excellent so far. I've not yet tried it for internet banking or shopping yet which I agree, Opera is excellent for security and secure browsing. Will try Netfront now and post findings.

Hmm, unable to logon to my internet banking with Netfront, this is where Opera really shines. In Netfronts defence, however, it allows wap/xml browsing whereas Opera 6.31 for UIQ doesn't.
