The best I've been able to get out of SM are clearlooking but jerky (slow framerate) movies that require a 1 second audio delay to get the lips to synch.

what setting did you use?
i can get pretty good frame rates, but you have to reduce the quality of the video and audio quite a bit.........but id prefer that to the crappy but clear video that you can get with the built in video player
if you dont mind losing a little clarity, smartmovie can get soem very nice smooth videos.......
but if you want it crystal clear then youll hjave to put up with jerky videos
this is not really a fault of smartmovie, its more to do with the power of the phone.......its like trying to watch a video on a really really old pc (like my old 486 or soemthing, hehe)

I've been converting DVDs into AVI's using DVDx. I've set DVDx so it shrinks the screeen area. 2 pass good quality. Then used Smartmovie to get it small enough for the phone. Usually used reduced frame rate. Can't remember the bps but it's what people round here recommend (128?).
What settings do you use?
