My P900 was recently stolen from me at a party (hey.. who can blame them, but &#((&$%^&!!!) which has left me in a bit of a pickle...

The good news is that I'll be getting a P910i as a replacement phone through insurance (WOOHOO!!!)...

The bad news is that due to assorted red tape and the like, I won't be getting it for about 2 - 3 weeks (DOH!!!)

Now from this I have 2 questions...

1. Being that I made regular backups of my phone, is there any software out there at the moment that will allow me to extract my address book from the p900 archive file on my PC (I NEED the numbers ASAP!)

2. Will my p900 archive be compatable with my new p910i?

Looking forward to hearing your replies...

1. I don't know

2. No, P900 and P910 backups are not compatible. I don't know why did this, because it would encourage upgrading if they did allow it. There may be a workaround, but you can't use the PC suite to do it.

1. go to the folder program files\\ sony ericsson\\ xxxx.ecs (i think) somewhere in there are the backup files, just open them in winzip, and have a lookfor something that looks like contacts.___ 2. yes you can, i know someone thats done it, the backups are the same format.
