Well i been on Orange EveryDay 50 (50 free off-peak mins everyday for £15.50 a month) for over 4 years now and the famous GPRS Access Pack (£4 a month for unlimited GPRS) since that came and went, but im struggling to upgrade to a decent phone without having to pay £100 or more for it. (Orange want £99.99 off me for the K700i )
Advice plz
Orange say i can change my plan to the talk 120 (£25 a month) and still keep the Access Pack, then i can upgrade to the K700i for free! Sounds good but will i miss my ED50? Because once i change you know i wont see the ED50 again
Basically i want a new phone so i can give my mum the t610 i've had for over 15 months now, which is still working perfectly btw and i want a new phone

So i need a few questions answered before i do anything, and im sorry if these Q's have been answered before but i dont visit Esato as much as i used to,anyway...

1. Can i minimse the FM Radio or MP3 player and still use Cmessenger at the same time? or anything else in the phone too? ie. camera, video,or java apps?
2. Can i use MP3 as ringtones on the Orange K700i?
3. Does the HPM-10 MP3 player work with K700i,i heard it does but does the 'pause' function work too? 'pause' has never worked on my t610
4. Finally, what do i need in addition to the online upgrading?

Hope you ppl can help me make my mind up,the tariff change has already been requested and i have until 22nd January (Saturday) to cancel this.
Btw,i have only used 186 mins this month so far,i have 1 week left on this billing month but this is usually about the same every month,i know im gonna miss the weekend and bank holiday calls that come with the ED50 but im gonna have to live with it if i change tariff!

Thx,boyi

I have an idea? why don't you get whatever phone orange is willing to give you for free on that tariff, then sell it one ebay, and use the profit to buy a payg k700i from orange?

K500s are going for around £60-£70 on Ebay at the mo. You could put that towards a PAYG K700 on orange that costs £139.99. Its still not free but is a step closer.
The problem you have is that Orange dont make much money on your tariff so they cant give you a phone that costs them about £100 for free when they cant make that back from you.
The other option is to go upto the £25 a month tariff and get the phone free.

Looks like a good plan but dont forget that you have to sign up for 18 months and not 12 months on that tariff.
