Firstly, a big hello to everyone. I was investigating which new phone to get and decided on a K700i. I then stumbled across this site. All I can say is wow - this is a superb forum!!
I got my phone yesterday and so far I'm very impressed. I'm in the UK and I got it on the Orange pay as you go network. This seemed to be a best way to get the phone and then get it unlocked.
Anyway - my questions!
1. Unlocking the phone - I assume I need to get a T21 data cable and then a 'credit' to get an unlocking code? Anyone got any cheap sites/tips for this?
2. I assume that once the unlocking is done, I can upgrade to latest version of the firmware. Is this correct?
3. Will installing that latest firmware get rid of the Orange customisation? If so, what will the button on the right of the phone marked 'Orange World' do?
4. What is the best way to get the SIM card out. It seems really stuck in on this phone!
5. Any recommendations for a cheap bluetooth headset?
I know all this info is on the site somewhere and I've done a few searches, but I thought it would be worth saying hello.
Thanks in advance.

Hi MiniRoll (nice name!)
Welcome to Esato!
To your questions:
1. I believe it's a T28 data cable, but I would send a Private Message (which you will see referred to as a "PM") to gbrooks3, whose signature suggests that he may be able to help you out with credits etc.
2. Yes, but not using the Update Service, as any unbranding that you do will mean that the SEUS will not work for you any more. However,

Service Centres should be able to upgrade your firmware.
3. Yes it will get rid of the customisation, although I don't know the exact effects as I don't own the phone.
4. Slide your fingernail under the edge of the sim card (the edge that is accessible) and push the sim card upwards with your other thumb. Hope that makes sense - though not entirely sure!
5. Sony Ericsson HBH-600 is a good cheap option, or the Jabra BT250 is not a bad headset. Just stick to

, Motorola or Jabra h/sets and you can't go wrong!

Many thanks for all the information

I'm a bit surprised that I will not be able to use SEUS
