Hi looking for help using my new 910i. I have installed the opera software off the applications CD but cannot get it to work. I can get on the internet, both GPRS and WAP using the usual browser and can send MMS so I think my internet accounts are working. However when I use Opera I type in the web page I want to access, it asks me to pick my internet account, I do and it tells me it is connected but does nothing more, just sits on the opera homepage telling me its connected. What am I doing wrong.

Who's your service provider? I believed you need full internet plans for Opera to work, but for those with WAP only plans, you need to set proxy.
There was a thread already

You are using wap/gprs now. You need full internet/gprs for opera to work. I bet this is the problem. This message was posted from a K500

Contact your operator. They should do it from their end to get access. This message was posted from a K500

You can do more with full internet plans. I'm with Tmobile USA and on WAP only plans, I can use Opera with proxy setting but not much elses. Lots of 3rd party application like agiles mobile need full internet.

You can use your phone to receive and send emails too if you have the full gprs activated. Now thats cool! This message was posted from a T230

You can get and send email with just WAP plans, at least I can.

Cheers for your help. I have a wap/gprs internet account which allows me to surf the net, not just wap sites fine. o2 have the options of settings for o2 active, wap gprs (which I have), and basic wap. The wap/gprs account when selected with opera is still just saying connected and not doing anything so I'm still stuck! What should I do next? Will reinstalling opera help?
