I searched the forum but found no one with my problem. When I create a spreadsheet then send it over to my computer via email, I get bunch of jibberish as the result when opened be excel. Anyone with similar issues?

Both quick sheet and quick word have their proprietary formats. Unless you convert them to normal excel format, you will get gibberish.

they both seem to use the .xls format. How would I convert them any differently?

Well, I found the problem, but still can't get it fixed. I have Excel 97 and it uses a differnt format than the newer versions. There is an add-on to support the UIQ files, but it doesn't work. I might just have to get a newer version of excel or quickoffice.

is the addin you need to install for (most) versions of excel. You'll need it for Excel 2000 for example.
This page often does not load correctly, I couldn't get it to load in Firefox, but - eventually in Internet Explorer.
Once installed, you'll need to open the file via the new Quicksheet menu.
