i thought the freeware se desktop was excellent, apart from the fact it prevented sman from opening.unfortunately, due to this..i had to uninstall it as i always use sman regularly.is it true that tracker and hd kill battery life quickly?thanks This message was posted from a P910

I've never had an issue with Sman and SEDT co-existing on my phone. In fact I use both quite frequently. I am sure there is something you can do to ensure that the two do not interfere with each other.

I've had battery issues with both HD and Tracker, and I now use neither (although with a 512Mb MSPD, who cares ).

Having used all 3 P-series handsets over the last two and a half years, I am now really only using SMan of the 4 mentioned, and occasionally SEDT.

I think it's a question of functionality and personal preference, and would agree with debu that you will find a multitude of mixed opinion on this one.

Uninstall both Sman and SE Desktop for starters...

Install Sman, configure and take a snapshot.
Install SE Desktop

Don't however take any further Snapshots as this sometimes causes SMan to crash.

I've been using both for a while now without problems.

surprised no one mentioned handy day. I find that to be the best. The pic of the mystery unknown desktop app on the se website looked really cool though.
