Hi,

I am trying to use my T39 and Toshiba laptop to dial into devices in remote
location to download data. If I dial the number, the modem on the other end
will answer and then hangup after ~12secs. There is no data traffic across
the link. If I use a normal lane line, the connection stay up and I can see
data coming through.
If I use my T39 to dial an ISP number, I can see data traffic and I can log
on and surf internet.
These two scenarios should be the same but why scenario 1 don't get any data
traffic???
Anyone has any idea........

I have the t39mc, i can't even get my fone to dial onto a isp and surf the web. How did u get your fone to do that? When i dial into my isp, the phone calls the number, and drops the call immediately. I emailed ericsson, and they said i need data subsription service from my cell phone provider. Is this true?

You have to subscribe to data services. This post was posted from a T68i

Is data subscription through my cell fone provider, or through a isp?
if its through my cell fone service, how much does it cost for data subscription?

Well, I am not your cell phone provider, so I can't tell you how much data service costs

@CheezeFactory
data subscription is from your mobile telco. you still pay your ISP for providing email/internet service.

your SP provider will tell you how much CSD costs. at least with GPRS you only pay your SP.
