Is there a character counter on the Sony Ericsson T610? Quite often, texts refuse to go because there seems to be too many characters.

there won't be one that works like that unfortunately but as I recall, even on the T610, when you get close to the 160 characters max it counts you down showing you how many characters you have left
you can also turn on "long messages" in the settings so that messages of more than 160 characters are automatically broken up into multiple messages

@gill i guess its enough the last 23 characters to be shown, same at emails, however, there starts at 40 or sg like that

I turned off the long messages option and when it gets to 20 characters left, you get a little countdown!
