Is this possible? I got my K700i today have been attempting this for the last hour or so. I downloaded a pdf from sony telling me how to sync my phone using a USB cable but the dock doesnt seem to install properly. Will I need to buy a DCU-11 cable?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeppers it will.

Borrowed a workmates P800 station ( installed as a DSS-20 ) to upgrade the firmware on my K700i. Saved me having to buy one just to do firmware upgrades.

I use the K700i + DSS-20 combination a lot with no problem. What software are you using? I use Float's Mobile Agent and I can access everything in my K700i through my PC.

Just make sure your settings are correct -- make sure the COM port assigned is correct.

Im using the software that came with the phone, and the P800 software for the sync-station. The station doesnt install properly and it never reconises when a phone is connected.

I installed the DSS-20 drivers (downloaded them from sony-ericsson website) and for a glorious moment it worked!! Phone connected, set the name of my sim and phone and then......nothing, stopped woriking again....

I have now been able to sychronise my phone with outlook using the sony-ericsson software! Thanks for all your help so far. I have tried using FMA but it doesnt reconise that my phone is there.

Now.....how to I copy MP3s to my phone?
