ok, to repeat:
have flip closed. go to make a new SMS. add a number, then press option to add recipient. choose another number.
on mine, it overwrites the first one, i have the newest firmware for my p900 so was wondering if anyone else has this problem.
thank you!

you are not the only one, my P910 has the same issue. I rarely send an SMS to more than one person though, so it really doesn't bother me. The problem is easily solved by opening the flip and adding more contacts.

So it isn't that big a problem - is it? ;-)

I could see it being annoying, but I don't see it as a huge issue since, as I said, it is possible to add multiple contacts with the flip open. Besides, it is more important that the flip open mode have all the features because the phone can be operated without the flip.

Even after sooo many firmware updates,

have not fixed something so trivial.

Trivial as it is, they might not have given it much importance.

well yes it does work fine with flip open, but it should ADD reciepent, not replace, as the title of the function indicates.
and it is a problem because i like to text while driving, etc (yea i know i know) and its cumbersome to open the flip and use 2 hands instead of one in flip closed....

It is obviously an oversight in the firmware that has never been corrected. Email support and let them know. Correcting a problem always starts with identifying the problem. Maybe nobody has brought this to

's attention.

Can this problem be solved just by a firmware update?
