hey my mate ofered me a deal to swap my ipod for his k700i.
he said the k700i is locked to vodaphone network.
just wanted to know will this be able to unlock to use a T-Mobile SIM card. and does the vodaphone branded version of the k700i have all the features or are some been taken off, if so what ones?
thanks.

you should be able to unlockthe phone to accept your sim, but the vodafone k700i has had the mp3 disabled as ringtones, and not sure if there is a fix for this yet.

If you get firmware updated then you can use .drl versions of MP3's as ringtones/alarms ets.. only difference is this fools the phone in 2 thinking they're copy protected so u can't 4ward them on as you can with the normal ones.

ps - I have just flashed R2AA003 to the phone (for free at Carphone Warehouse-they didn't ask for any details, just accepted the phone and told me 2 come back and collect in an hour!) and works fine.. And there are newer firmwares out apparently so should be ok.

Hope this helps a little bit!
