> Workaround for P910,SMan and SE Desktop
Bookmark topic
Hi
I had a problem with SMan crashing when using SE Desktop on my p910. This is how I fixed it.
1. Use some file manager (qfileman) and rename or remove the file c:\system\apps\SMan\SMan.snp. This makes it possible to start SMan again..
2. Restart the phone to flush unecessary tasks.
3. Start SMan and kill the task Desktop
4. Take a new snapshot and configure SMan to load at startup (with flipclose flush too).
This seems to work for me.
Best regards

Yes, by deleting the .snp you deleted the Snapshot.
The problem only occurs in the first place if you take a Snapshot with SE Desktop running so if u simply don't update it to include SE Desktop then the problem doesn't occur to begin with.
There is no need to have SE Desktop included in a snapshot as it runs in hidden tasks which are not flushed by SMan anyway

@MattiL:
Appreciate it if you could post this in the SMan v1.3 thread here in esato.com. I will be investigating this and getting back to you guys soon as to why SMan crashes with the desktop app runnning.
