Just got my brand new p910i from O2, and *sigh* it's got a problem.
First time startup went ok. after some minutes, the phone restarted saying it restarted to improve performance. I gave it my pin, waited for a few seconds, and the phone restarted again. It keeps doing this and i cant get it to work. i tried this with 3 different sims, and 2 different batteries.nothing works.
I phoned SE and they said i should get O2 to replace it for me because it's defective. Anyone knows any workarounds? I can't wait another 7 days:(

try this. Start up phone without sim card
then hopefully you can access the service menu.
jog dial up
*
Jog dial down
Jog dial down
*
Jog dial down
*
Then go into service functions and format the internal drive c:
then reboot with sim inserted.
Just a thought.

Nope.
I formatted, restarted and everything went ok. but then restarted again, and it keeps doing the same as before, restarts on its own.
I got some hope in the beginning:(
Do you think a firmware update from SE would do the trick, or it wouldnt work because its 02?
Thanks a lot

Dude, take it back to O2, they should replace the handset for you then and there (OBF) Out Of Box Failure. They should not make you wait 7days for a new handset.

Tried updating firmware but the page wont load properly after confirming that my phone is charged and i have pcsuit etc...
I tried in auto and manual mode, but the same happens.i'm thinking of trying in restore mode.
oh yeah, the page frame loads just fine, but the central part with the info about the update is just blank, and the page stops loading.it sais done.
any ideas anyone?

Dude, trust me, you cant do anything with the handset, its the flash which is faulty, only an SE sevice centre can repair if.

Oh well, updating didnt help, only thing that i could do was login through flight mode, and then switch to normal, but when i tried that a second time it didnt work either.
Then i tried updating to restore mode, which is supposed to make the device work if it is non functional, but the progress would freeze at 51% saying there was a communication error with the device. Oh well, i'm posting it back today.
