> Reapir damage on P900

I took my P900 to Fleet Mobile Communication service centre to upgrade firmware, when i got the phone back there was a heavy scratch mark (1mm thick) on just below the self potrait mirror. I told them about it but they only apologised. Are they liable for that damage, relistically?

I think if you really start to blame them for it and ask for a replacement back cover etc they may just deny the whole thing.

I would agree with clank, although if you have a picture of your mobile before you gave it them, which clearly shows no scratch then they would have a harder time denying that they did it.
You could claim on insurance, if you have any. Did they ask you to sign anything before they repaired your mobile?

It's a shame. When I took my Sony Camcorder in the Sony Service Centre they actually write down any cosmetic damage to it. eg. scatches or marks.
If only they actually done this with phones (what they probably should do) it would help you with your case.

yeah, true. They denied it first saying they never did it but they did because I have never made a single scratch on my phone. The woman who collected my phone spent 5 minutes trying to open the battery cover but couldnt open it, she then gave it to the engineer to open it. I think her watch or ring may have caused the scratch mark but it was definately them coz when I go thte phone I saw a visible mark clearly. I should have taken pics before but anyway i will do that next time.
Basically afterwards, it was only a case of my word against theirs. They win at the end as they can easily lie as there is no proof.
