I have been able to view PDF files on my P800 without encountering that problem. Of course, I have never loaded a PDF file that large.

I never thought for a sec that 300k means 'large'! 1mb is big but 300k...how big were the ones u've been able to view?

@701: Would you believe if I said 4k? Just receipts for online payments sent to me as email attachments :-) That context makes 300k "large".

I loaded a 92kb size PDF file to my P800 today just to check out performance. One word: terrible! Opening & scrolling through was like driving a 1962 caterpillar. I won't even attempt 300kb.

Iv only ever used a p900 once before, but have viewed pdf many times before. I was using a pc once with 512 meg ram viewing a pdf of not a massive size and it chewed through all available ram and then all available virtual ram that it made the pc unusable. Had to reboot. Does pdf really drain this much resources?

So,I've uploaded a few more documents today ranging between 90 and 278 k and it worked! I can open it, zoom it but can't..read it!Damn, the screen is too small and i can't read by scroll it laterally every other second and what bugs me more, when i try to press "fit to page" the whole document becomes...blank. Anything i can do about it besides what it says in the manual?
VERY impractical solution with this PDF program

PDF files are bad enough on an old laptop yet alone a PDA.
Is there a way to convert the text to some sort of ebook format? I have some ebooks in PDF but reading them is a pain.

@701: i think the blank page when selecting "wrap to screen" qualifies as a bug since i also got it on my p910 just the other week.

I have deliberately avoided downloading PDF format ebooks. Large PDF files are not worth it. All my ebooks are either PRC, PDB or simple HTML.
