You cant mate, its there forever, like an attack of herpes.
Its locked on the phone A: (ROM) drive. You would need your phone flashed with generic firmware. Not worth it I tell thee Pats.

That's the homescreen on Orange, not the startup movies. As the previous poster said, you need a generic flash to remove startup movies.

I may be mistaken, but i have a distant memory of replacing a couple of .mp4 files and .wav files on my p800 to get the startup animation changed. I shall definitely inform you about this soon.

Aaah yes....You're in luck mate
this site tells you how to change the startup screen of the p800. I guess the same applies to the p9x0.

Replacing the .mp4 files on the P900 upwards does not work, it only worked on the P800.
Once again, the ONLY way to change the startup movies on a P900/P910 is a firmware flash.
To be honest though, I've got the Orange startup movies on mine, and I'm on O2... how many times do I actually see the startup movie? Not very often at all, since my phone is kept on 24/7! I only need to "reboot" if something crashes badly. It's not that big a deal, really, is it?

I agree... i have Orange startup movies on my phone, really does not bother me at all.. i mean who's sad enough to stare at their phone whilst it's booting? Just turn it on and leave it for a minute.. then you won't see it.. simple. The SE Startup movies aren't anything spectacular!
