Hi,
I have been trying to update the firmware on my P900(on my phone R5A01) to the latest but it does not start I get the message "Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service" then nothing... does anyone else have this issue?.

Try difference browsers, I had this same thing when trying with Internet Explorer. I downloaded Opera and it took me 15 min. to upgrade my p900.
or disable any firewall you have set up.

I use zone alarm, but I have let port 80 permission to pass. I will try shutting it down altogether and try, I will also try another browser.
