Hi Folks =)

I have a question that is probably very simple for those of you who know their arse from their elbow ;I can't seem to access my system files with my phones filemanager or the third party file manager I purchased.

I want to view and make changes to the installation folders of certain apps and I need to copy some files across into the installation folder yet when I try and move the files in question I only get the option to move them to /documents or /unfiled or something similar - I try using the 'Find Folder' option but that shows up no folders at all on either external or internal storage!

Has anyone got a clue what I'm babbling about or should I seek mental help?

Cheers.

well from what you are saying it seems like you are talking about the inbuilt file manager. you need to get a software called qfilemananger (not sure from where) so u can access all the system files n etc from your phone or you could go to my symbian and get epocware filemanager. basically you connect your fone to your pc via bluetooth, irDA or syncstation then you use epocware filemanager to browse the contents of the phone from your pc. hope this helps

Thanks for the reply mate =) I've tried using the inbuilt filemanager and a program called 'fileman' for the P800 - and neither seem to want to show me the relevant files - I'll have a look for those that you mentioned.

Should be a simple solution. In Fileman got to Preferences and tick the box Show system folder.
