as the title says what is o2 proxy and any1 know how to set it to a free setting?

Tick "Use Proxy"
IP: 193.113.200.195
Port: 8080
Thats Free

make sure you set the port in both the wap and internet accounts and also if you want to use the free settings with opera then you need to enable the proxy and port to match what the above user posted by going to edit\preferences (i think) in opera and the the proxy tab. hope this helps

gprs in general has been in a bit of a bad mood since thursday, ive been getting spells of 3-4 hours without any gprs signal at all
back to topic: i seem to remember someone saying a while back that, when using the proxy, the username needs to be changed to something like mobileweb or mobileinternet or something. now its set as payandgo. anyone got more info?

no, o2's mobileweb settign will ONLY work with those people on contract who have asked o2 to enable mobiole web on their account
if you try and add the settign manually to a payg account, it will say "failed to connect" or soemthing like that
and the o2 free wap works fine on opera with my p800, and my opera doesnt even HAVE a proxy setting

the problem is when i connect to gprs its just disconnects after like 5 mins and it keeps doing this!!
