> No Orange FW = Faster p910i?
Bookmark topic
Ive not had my new Orange p910i for long but it's clear that it is running slower than my p800! Someone has previously mentioned that his p910i worked quicker after he had the orange firmware replaced with a generic SE version. I wondered if anyone else has noticed better performance after having their p910i's flashed with generic fw??? I'm thinking of having this done myself but Im weighing the pros with the cons ie not then being able to use SEUS on my flashed p910i.

I've noticed my Orange P910 being slow too and wonder if it has something to do with Orange. When I'm create a text message and fill the screen with text, holding down the delete key does not delete the characters as smoothly as I would have liked, it's like every so often theres a glitch when some unwelcome background process comes in and holds things up for a bit.
Grrrr.

Genereally, any phone without network content works better. The firmware (sans network content) is optimized for maximum performance, so to answer your question:
YES!!!
