R3A here. My phone is only a week old (well, I mean I've only had it a week). Had to upgrade my firmware though, previously on R2B025, now up to date with R2E006. It just goes to prove how long these things are sat in storage, before we get our hands on them!

There are no real differences in the hardware through various revisions, so don't stress, you don't need a new one. Do a search, I think the olny real differences are where different compnents within the phone are manufactured
