On the main scren where your operator bit is shown mine shows me 01482, well this is my area code like for hull ... when you ring another city u have to put like a 4 digit code..
My operator is vodafone... As anyone else got this problem??

Sounds like you've got the cell info turned on on your phone. This shows you what area code's transmitter you're picking up.
I just had a quick look but can't remember what menu it's in, the option to turn this on/off. Will have a look when I get home (just about to pop out) to see if I can find it if no one else has beaten me to it!
