Argos have revealed that a slim Silver PS2 is to be launched in the UK, after the product was listed in their new catalogue which launched today.
Sony haven't as yet confirmed any plans for a Silver version of the new smaller PlayStation 2 (which launched just before Christmas) and so Argos appear to have revealed the product somewhat before it was officially planned to be announced.
The product, listed as item number 567/7809, doesn't appear to be available to buy yet, with home delivery and local store reservation options both showing it as being out of stock, pointing to the release being sometime later this year.

I believe that this is all a lie, many reasons why.
First of all the image of the PS2 is not even sliver as it would be.
Secondly, the link that links to Argos.co.uk uses this

Thirdly, I have searh all of Argos and no sign of slim silver ps2.
So there you have it.

Well from the information i have seen this is completely genuine and Sony will release the silver version in time for easter which is only 9 weeks away now..Apparantly it was a gaff by Argos to post it up on there website earlier than they should have.but they realised the mistake and soon removed it.

Well i should be saying i told you so! the new silver PS2 will go on sale on the
13th of May for a suggested £114.99.The price will include the console, a controller and a silver DVD remote. Also on sale to complement your PS2 will be the Vertical Stand, Memory Card, DUALSHOCK 2 Controller and Eyetoy, available seperately.And all in silver of course.
