I've done a quick search, but I coulnd't find any program that did what I wanted.

I'm looking for a program in which I can set an alarm which will go off, EVEN if the phone is in silent mode! I like to go to bed and have the phone on silent and still get woken up by it. (And don't tell me to put it in fligh mode...I don't feel like going through all that hassle each evening/morning).

Do you know of any such program?

Thanks!

Sorry guys but don't have the pleasure of owning p series, help me out here..my k700 alarm works in silent mode.

Surely the alarm still works when in silent mode on p800/900/910 ?

I'm sure an alarm will still cause the phone to vibrate whilst in silent mode? Why don't you just put it under your pillow or put it on a solid surface? That should be enough to wake you up..

I haven't tested an audible alarm whilst in silent mode (yet)

Putting a P9 in Flight Mode is VERY easy!
Just press the signal bars & choose 'Switch to Flight Mode'
This doesn't work on a P800 though & I don't know which u have

@djkizlive

I would put your phone on silent and set the alarm to go off in a minute or so.

Lets us know what happens

@ marlonski

On a P-Series silent means silent so it makes no sound but does vibrate

Yeah. So no "slapping" sound when you take pictures in silent mode either . Try it on the k700/s700 etc, the shutter sound REALLY sounds like a slap, rather than a shutter!

Thanks, i didn't know that. Thats a bit of a pain ! Could you use a simple java based alarm clock program ? or would the program have to be a Symbian based ?

Nickorooster, agree the k700 does sound like slap not in silent mode tho, sounds silent

Or between your legs if you're female.
