Hey people! I used to have a p800 and when i wanted to take the flip off i had to put that little replacement piece of plastic "thingymajig" in it to make it look right. My p800 unfourtunately went wrong (kept reformatting itself) and after i kicked up a fuss with the retailer i was issued with a p900. Literally just the p900 tho, with the stylus and battery of course. No equivalent 'thingymajig' or tool set which i understand one needs to take of the p900 flip (however, i have herd some ppl have managed with a small screwdriver and the stylus, if i'm not mistaken). Does anyone know where i can just purchase that little bit in its original form (no operator logos). Or if i attempt to take of the flip does the p900 not look so bad (the p800 doesnt look all that bad) if u dont put the other thingymajig on. I hope this makes some sense to someone, because frankly im having a hard time understanding myself right now.

You will be able to use a diddy screwdriver and the stylus as your tools (I did) but you will neet the jig on your thingamy. There are 2 parts to the flip, one with the gubbins and one which covers the remaining exposed gubbins when fitted. when you thake the flip off the little cover won't fit and is too diddy. You need a whole new little cover (the jig) to cover all the gubbins. I think it looks great with this jig in place.
I can't tell you where to find such a jig but as consolation I've had 2 Jugs from Vodafone (prolific jig stampers) and neither has been branded, so the number of vanilla jigs going spare could be quite high.
Hope this helps in some small way.

First...Thanks for your reply
I think Im with you untill the point when you said you had 2 jigs or 'jugs'! from vodafone. How did you manage this? Did u ask them for another jig? Or do you mean you've bought 2 phones on vodafone and the 'jigs' weren't branded.

oops, sorry.
2 jigs, 2 phones, 2 contracts, 2 years.
btw. I am in no way trying to suggest that 'jig' is the technical (proper) name for these things.

No, the technical term is a "doo-dad"

Of course, do not confuse doo-dads with doobies.

And as for my having 2 jugs (branded or otherwise), this is sadly not the case. If I did I might never leave the house!

LOL at all the 'technical' terminology people, i still can't believe the real word isn't a 'jig', it's just soo apt, like a jig saw piece! Anyway, thanks 4 all the help, especially the link baseballfanz, kool themes btw. Has Anyone done a 2pac theme for the p900 (sorry off topic i know!)?
