Another question from my flipping girlfriend (that is to say - she uses her flip.

Can a call be accepted by opening the flip & ended by closing it?

I believe no..... I tried looking for any software but thats one hard nut which in inbuild in ROM profile of PXXX... So your filpping GF would have to wait till SE acknowledges her flippling request.....

No its not an 'Active flip'

Why u'd want it to I don't know because the mic is NOT on the end of the flip & having it open would simply inhibit your voice being picked up by the mic!

Mike, i have always been curious ever since i have taken P910i.... as to where is microphone in it ... For all my nokia phones i could easily locate it.... for P910 i know the output speaker is on the back side but where the hell did they give microphone.....

I think the answer to 'why you'd want to' is partly a conditioning thing. I feel we are used to flips opening/closing the call as well.
Perhaps it's from too much Star Trek?!

The other reason is that she has a cheap but very effective car kit & would like to be able to answer calls by just pulling down the flip. I guess this is easier to do than pressing a little button while carreening between traffic at 90mph.

I'm surprised it's so hard. Surely the little button that detects flip position is much like any other real world detection device (eg buttons)
