Hey guys,

I'm trying to hunt down a V802 in japan cause i heard they were much cheaper.

I also read somewhere here that there's a lot of DRM right and crap that make the phone pretty much garbage.

Does anybody no the price point? and whether anyone or anything can unlock and flash it?

The V802 and V800 are the same phone just customised firmware differences.

Yes it can be unlocked and de-customised.

Go to http://www.setool.net download the software, purchase credits and a T28 Fighter cable (with a USB connector) and follow the intstructions in SETool's support forum.

have you actually been able to purchase a Japanese S-E 802se?

I want one with the Japanese firmware so that I can send and receive mails in Japanese!

I am also interested in the Japanese Sharp 902sh

easycell is $1200 cad... how on earth is that a good deal?

I'm looking into the japan thing have a few friends that will check it out in the next few days..

i'm getting 1 in every color!!!! woohoo which would still be cheaper then 1 from easycell
