Hello All

I thought it might be fun to create a blog for myself here on Esato.

I am presently just about to go and read The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien. I am a huge Tolkien fan and The Silmarillion is quite simply breathtaking. I shall probably read a few pages and then doze off.

I am in uni tomorrow; I have to return some library books before I take some more out for an essay I have to do.
I may pop into a rather charming coffee shop for a rest from the studying and perhaps to access Esato.

Goodnight All.

Hello All

I have just finished a rather delish lunch, including some smashing sausages. Due to a technical problem I haven't been at uni at all today, so I have been lazing instead, but I may pop in sometime later this afternoon or this evening.

It is a smashing day here, the sun is shining gloriously and it feels a little warmer today. I may take a highball soon, perhaps a gin.

I have just noticed that my favourite robe is in need of a trip to the dry cleaners and the menders too by the looks of a rather nasty tear on the belt. To contionue the boredom of my laundry I have been told that my shirts are to be sent to someone new, I thought the people I use now were rather good, but I am willing to give the new people a bash.

I shan't be going to uni tomorrow for the class that is on, it is all to do with oral history and something tells me that I won't find too many Anglo-Saxons sitting around waiting to be interviewed on the Viking invasions.

I have been thinking that the afternoon is a rather strange time of day, it is as if time has stopped and the anyone not in some form of education or employment is stuck in some sort of twighlight zone.

Television stations seems to show the most irritating programmes possible at this time. So annoying are the programmes that they make you want to hurl the television set through the window just to shut up the smug C list celebrity currently 'introducing' you to the wonders of redecorating/living abroad/making your own clothes/adopting an animal/selling 'antiques' found in your loft, etc.

The afternoon also seems to be old codger territory, there are far more of them about on the streets at this time. It can be quite intimidating to walk down some streets and see a gang, sometimes four or five strong, of old women standing on a street corner staring at people as they walk past. Some of them carry handbags made from that really tough looking 'leather' that old women seem to like; a smack from one of those would tear your face off.

The sun is dipping now, so the old codgers will soon be finishing their daily trawl through the charity shops and heading for home. The television should get a little better as we move towards Richard & Judy time and one can look forward to a pleasant evening.
