These .hid files are preinstalled on your phone. I think people we're downloading them because they've deleted/lost them from the phone. I could be wrong but every k700 and s700 I've seen have the remote control applications installed.

.hid stands for 'human interface device' people will be downloading extra hid's as there are more than just the pre-installed ones available, for example, realplayer, iexplorer etc.
