How does these phones compare if the Nokia 7610 NEVER had Symbian s60? I almost opted for the Nokia 7610 but it was too expensive on contract but I discovered the K700i and I'm happy to settle for it.I'm still waiting for it!;-) This message was posted from a T300

Hehe, good choice! At Esato it's Sony Ericsson..(Sort of..), but on the contrary..6710 does have more applications..But with quantity comes untop quality (For Nokia anyway..) See, I've been through many Nokia phones in the past..And personally, I don't think they've done a great job...

If 7610 is series 40, then it is not so good. But still it has a mp cam. Rick, when are you getting you k700i? This message was posted from a K500

@govigov,I'm not sure when I'm getting the K700i because freaking service provider doesnt know when they are getting new K700i stock. :-) The 7610 doesnt have a built-in radio i think,3D game engine and the K700i has a better screen resolution 176x220 vs 7610's 176x208.Plus the K700i is smaller and lighter and records unlimited time video! @gov, The 7610 is a series 60 phone.

Nice camera, quite a large phone and a slightly quirky design. Ok if you like the styling and require a symbian os. No radio, mono audio player and aparently slow GPRS and a non standard memory card.

K700, no mem card and vga camera.

Difficult to compare the two as they are designed for different market sectors.

I chose the k700 and would still do so.

I thot we were considering a hypothetical situation where 7610 is NOT symbian as requested by rick700i. This message was posted from a K500

govigov knows the 7610 is a s60 phone but he made an example IF it had to be a s40 phone. For me if the 7610 never had Symbian at all then the K700i beats it by some gap! This message was posted from a T300

I have seen them both. But surely there isn't much difference in the screens of both the phones. If both these phones were priced similarly, i would choose the 7610 over the K7.
