What are the differences with these connectors? Is any NOT compatible with the S700i, and also which is the best one to get?

both does support S700... but I would go for the DSS-20 (or the newer DSS-25) since they can be used against the

online update service (which will probably be available for S700 in the future)

nope... only the DSS-20 or DSS-25 can be used for online updates
