You don't need to restore a backup to get the settings.
U can input them yourself, they've been posted on here enough times

I no longer own a P8 I'm afraid & I deleted my old backups.
I'm guessing u want to use it for a modem perhaps if the touchscreen doesn't work?

There are many people on this forum who will be able to but 1am isn't exactly the busy period here!

Install the trial version of RemoteP800 on your phone from a PC, and then start the application using the jogwheel.

After that, open the server application on your PC and it will connect to the phone, then you can navigate your P800 using your mouse.

This way you can input settings easily, and use your P800 as a modem.

Alternatively, you can buy a new screen for around £45. I also offer a repair service and would be happy to fit a new screen for you if you're interested.

There should be a demo on the Multimedia CD as he said, alternatively u could d/load it from the UIQ section at http://www.my-symbian.com
