Hey Kids!
I was thinking the other night and i've decided i'm going to start offering yet another service to you guys & gals!
I've noticed a lot of people asking about 2.5 - 3.5mm adaptors so they can use their own headphones with their Pxxx, but what is the point?
Use your original SE headset and choose a pair of earbuds you would like to use. As long as the earbuds you want to use are accessible then i will take the old SE earbuds off, and solder the new ones onto the original SE cable, so you can still use the microphone and original 2.5mm connector with your phone.
I'm offering this service for just
£5.00 including return delivery!
I'll also provide a warranty on the modified headsets for 3 months, should any fault occur to the internals of the earbuds, i'll fix them free of charge and also pay for return delivery!
If you have any questions, or if you'd like further information, feel free to e-mail me, or simply send me a PM on Esato.
Thanks!

Are the standard ones that bad?
They do the job for me

Not really, but i thought i'd offer the service for those who appreciate true quality, or perhaps those who don't like the look of the Sony Ericsson headphones (they are an odd shape after all).
Hope this answers your question

Yeah, I wasn't questioning the validity of your service just sayin I don't see the problem with the normal ones but I also don't have an 'expensive' pair for comparison.
And maybe just me but wouldn't all the typical background noise such as traffic when ur out & about listening to them pretty much make it impossible to 'appreciate the true quality'!
Please people, don't see this as my attempt to stop anyone takin up djkiz's service and remember he IS in the Trusted Sellers List

I appreciate your comments Mik, but we don't all live in busy cities
I for one live in a small village in the East Midlands, and it is normally very quiet, so listening to high quality music is great.
This is also a good alternative if your SE headphones have started distorting at high volume and make unbearable 'rattling' noises. Saves purchasing a new SE handsfree kit i guess.
Thanks for pointing out that i'm in the list too, i'm grateful for that.

Funny u should mention that about them starting to distort/rattle as the right earphone on mine has just started doin that this week
Luckily I have a spare, unused set that cost me nothing (from the damaged P9!)

See i knew it wasn't such a bad idea offering this service! I don't think everybody else will be lucky enough to have a spare SE Handsfree kit.
I suggest you be careful with this one and keep the volume down, otherwise you'll have to send them to me along with some new earbuds for fitting

The idea to solder on the actual speaker/earpiece unit from another set of headphones is a great idea. I personally haven't even tried the

handsfree kit, but I am an audiophile and am skeptical of the quality from the start. I may try soldering an older pair of decent headphones if I become interested in playing music with my P910. For right now I use a bluetooth headset and haven't put any music on my phone...

Nice idea, and i would really use your offer...but...
a) my "other" headset is quite to expensive to cut it in pieces and smolder it onto another

)
b) i could do it myself
Anyway, great idea!
And Mik: You could also use your Pxxx e.g. in a bedroom where
no HiFi or computer is to hear music

Hey there,
For those who are worried about their expensive earbuds, there will be no damage done to them at all. If you wanted the expensive earbuds placing back on the original cable, then this could be easily done.
There's no chopping up of the original cable and it will be left intact and returned to you.
If you can do it yourself then that's great, but i'm offering this service to those who aren't comfortable with taking headphones apart, or those who have never tried soldering before and don't want to run their earbuds.
Thanks for your interest.
