Can't connect PC to T68 using Ericsson's XTND software on Windows XP Outlook 2002 with Bluetooth (built-in to Toshiba Satellite 5100-201). I want to synchronise and to use T68 as modem for email.
Like many users I get BT to work, with 'connected' indicated for laptop and T68, then when I start synchronisation from Outlook I get message "phone not connected".
From reviewing the forum this problem seems to have been running for over 6 months. Ericsson tell me it's because their software doesn't yet work with XP.
Anyone found reliable solution please?

I use a Socket Compact Flash Bluetooth card that fits into a PCMCIA adapter which then slots into the back of my Desktop PC into a Chase PCI to PCMCIA board. I use XP.
Now that I have got the latest drivers from Socket, I can connect with the Ericsson software to syncronise with Outlook.
I only have experience with this BT card and before I can sync I have to create a bond between the T68 and a virtual serial port that the Socket software creates.
I actually drag a little icon which says com6 into the top of a little icon that is a T68 which creates the bond after entering the passkey on the T68 & the PC.
Once this bond is created, the XTND software works.

I use Ericsson's XTND software with both my cable and IR connections on Windows XP ... no probs.
So it might be a Bluetooth thing/driver prob.

I had to do the same with Nokia DTL-4 BT-card. It could also healp to reserve the virtual com-port in the Mobile Monitor settings.
