Hi All,

I have a Z600, that's branded 02, that can be removed by an SE centre no problem to rid of the 02 branding and get wap etc working.

The phone came unlocked, so accepts any SIM (even worked with Comviq PAYG)

I'm with orange now. me and 02 didn't see i2i on a few things.

.. However..

I want swedish character set on my handset, (YL is swedish) as i've been known to skriv svenksa också (if somewhat badly!)

I called SE and after a the opo checked with someone, they said, yep. it was possible... and gave me the number of people in Oxford.

So, I called oxford. Before I'd finshed the sentance saying I would like the swedish character set, There was a very blunt "can't be done, engineers said so."

So I asked the operative, how do they use the phones in scandinavia ? and got no real answer.

So I rang SE again and told them the tail of woe, and SE basicily said tough... if they can't do it, no one else can.

All I want is the scandinavian standard SE software, is that to much to ask of SE ? I guess it is.. I did comment to SE about it being a bit piss poor when Nokias AFAIK can do scandi languages etc without "extra" s/w ?

So, what other options do I have left open, (apart from an SE centre in stockholm or dalarna next time I am there.) I'm not keen on the DIY side of things, as I have read several stories of dead phones when trying to unbrand etc DIY stylee.

Anyone any othe suggestions ?

Yes, tell them that in can be done in 15 mins. Just flash it with EU4 FW which contains english and swedish.

yes, -I- know it can be done... that's what I told em...

Seems it's something they (SE centres) just won't do.. planks

SE haver really taken a hit in my popularity stakes..
