I bought a new K700i on Wednesday (on PAYG) only to discover after a day of using it there is NO SMS option only MMS thus every msg i've sent since then has cost me 40p as opposed to 3p!!

I've had 7sim updates in a day and I still have the problem! Orange are now refusing to replace the phone as it's a "problem" and not a "fault".

I know my rights on this issue so i'm not after an answer on that, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem as I was advised by one of Oranges (more helpful) advisors, that this a known fault with a bad batch of phones!!

Thanks for the welcome

If only it was that simple, I've turned the phone on and off after every sim update and the guy in the shop has had a go a few times as well.

In write new, there are two option. 1. Text 2. Picture. If you dont have text option, then it is the phone's fault. Ask the guy to check in other phones. Insist. This option must be available. Btw, welcome. This message was posted from a K500
