it depends on what you want to transfer, give us an example so you can be understood. l have over 60 themes stored on my mem stick (512 mb) l created a folder in the documents and l place them there via copy/paste from my pc. what do you want to store?

in my experience you can copy virtually any file to document/other and indeed if you simply copy to "phone memory" or "memory stick" then thats where it will put unrecognised files
of course, I haven't tried every file type

Well, sometimes stuff like .ogg files can't go into the audio folder, so you simply put it in the "documents" folder (or the "other" folder, if that doesn't work). They will still be found by oggPlay, and it make no real difference to anything, so I don't really bother with them.

Save yourself a whole load of hassle and get yourself a PC File Manager for the P900. This shows all the files on your phone and has no restrictions as to what goes where.
Alternatively, you can get a cheap memory card reader for around £10, and use this to write files onto your memory card, which would be a lot quicker than over USB. However this is not a solution if you want to copy files to internal memory, in which case the PC File Manager would be the best way to go.
You can obtain a demo of the File Mananger
here

I second djkizlive's idea. I use FileManager all the time and it is much more flexible than any other method.
