I purchased a T68m from AT&T Wireless, but what I really wanted was a sim-unlocked T68i. I bought one and life was good. I stuck in the SIM, made a call and life was good. I setup my data accounts and WAP profile EXACTLY like it is on my T68m. I tried to initiate a WAP session, but received 'Communication erro. Try again or check your settings.' life is not good.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Is there some special settings for the T68i?

Something that I found to be strange is that the data accounts do not reference an APN. I thought you had to have one.

at&t is so unsure of this stuff it is pathetic. any help for the US folks would be great.

I received my T68i about a week ago and all is fine with it. I havent really messed with my WAP settings, I had to adjust my mobile.att.net email settings, but thats it. What can I check on for ya specifically? Mine works great so far!

After toying with the settings, I was finally able to get the WAP browser to work. However, I had to make one small change to the setting from normal. I had to turn Security OFF. Don't know why that works, but it does. Maybe it's because I didn't get the phone from AT&T.
